Hepatitis
“Depending upon conditions, Hepatitis A (HAV) can remain stable in the environment for months. Hepatitis B (HBV) can remain infectious for up to 7 days in an ambient environment. Recent studies suggest that Hepatitis C (HCV) may survive on environmental surfaces at room temperature for at least 16 hours, but not longer than 4 days. Both HBV and HCV would have to get directly into an open wound/sore or onto a mucous membrane for there to be any risk any transmission.”-CDC Public Response Service -received December 23, 2003
There is now also the existence of HDV and HEV.
We of course use medical grade surface sterilants and single use and/or sterilized materials so there is no risk of these viruses being transmitted through a tattoo or body piercing.
